Review of Your Parent Registration Forms

A review of your parent registration forms is a useful opportunity to check whether you ask for employment details, rather than simply an occupation.
Recording where a parent or guardian works, alongside their occupation, gives your school more complete and useful contact information.
What should schools ask for?
Alongside occupation, consider requesting:
Employer or business name.
Employer’s telephone number and, where available, the parent or guardian’s direct work number.
For self-employed parents, their trading or registered company name.
Useful in an emergency
If a child has an accident and the school cannot reach their parent or guardian on their usual number, a work telephone number may provide another way to contact them.
Helpful when recovering unpaid fees
Employment details can also assist with tracing parents who have moved without providing a forwarding address, or identifying appropriate next steps where someone repeatedly ignores correspondence about outstanding fees.
A small change to your registration form could make a useful difference later.
If your school would like to discuss an outstanding fee account, please contact us to discuss further.
