Shannon Merrett joined Westbury Collections in January 2026 and works alongside her sister, Leanne Merrett, supporting the company's business development activities within the independent school sector. Shannon is responsible for prospecting new schools, building relationships with bursars and finance teams, and helping schools understand how Westbury Collections can support the recovery of outstanding fee debts.

Since joining the company, Shannon has quickly become a valuable member of the team, providing important support to Leanne, who works closely with more than 200 schools on a regular basis. Her enthusiasm, willingness to learn and positive approach have helped her settle into the role quickly and make a strong contribution to the department.

As one of the newer members of the company, Shannon has already become a popular member of the team and is developing an excellent understanding of the independent school sector and the challenges faced by school finance departments.

On a recent company trip, Shannon is quoted by saying she "miscalculated" the number of drinks she should have had the night before resulting in a "slight" hangover, a quote that was a new one on everyone that heard it.
